This design and concept are beautifully simple: "American" anagrams to "Main Race." The word "Gospel" comes from "God Spell," which I think makes this a true God Spell. Interestingly, "Messiah" anagrams to "I'm Ashes," and "Genesis" can be rearranged to "See Sign." There are no coincidences.
